Cleft Lip Embryology

The Embryology of the Face. This explains how cleft lips develop and also how Tesssier 3 and 7 clefts develop. Cleft 7 can lead to macrostomia and is the most common of the facial clefts. These diagrams have been designed for plastic surgery trainees to help with easy recall of key facts in plastic surgery. Labelled and unlabelled versions help to make the image even more memorable and enable self testing.
